Hamilton Watches – The First Timepiece Teller

Since its establishment in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1892, the Hamilton Watch Company has brought us numerous outstanding timepieces. Its first watch designed by H.J. Cain was produced in 1893. It is a vintage pocket watch which is long expected by many people. In the same year, Hamilton Watch Company launched a railroad pocket watch of great durability called “The Broadway Limited”, especially made for the American Expeditionary Forces. Beside above two, there are still numerous masterpieces launched by this famous watch company with each one meaningful.

In 1928, the Yankees wristwatch was launched for the Yankees who won the World Series. Simultaneously, another renowned timepiece of high quality and fashion was introduced. These two watches were well received by many people and Hamilton watches began to be known for the public. From 1930, Hamilton started to serve the airlines with timepieces as the official supplier.

In 1940, the retail sales of Hamilton watches were stopped and this company focused its attention on manufacturing watches for the military. Just in WWII period, it produced nearly one million military watches.

In 1957, Hamilton Watch had an instant change and came with the first electric watch which marked the end of winding watches. In 1959, it got the inspiration from the Cadillac tailfins of the 1950s and produced a sleek watch which becomes the favorite of the fashionistas in the 50s. This fantastic timepiece was even chosen by Elvis Presley to wear in his movie Blue Hawaii.

Bearing their tradition of innovation, this company successfully created its first digital watch which was designed and manufactured in its Pennsylvania head office in 1972. All the facts prove that Hamilton comes with every kind of first watch. Therefore, each piece of Hamilton watch is within the dreaming list of many people with its specialty and uniqueness.
